Congratulations and Welcome to Young RYLA!
You have been selected by your local Rotary Club to attend the Young RYLA conference at the YMCA of the Rockies – Estes Park, CO this year! We are excited to have you join us at Young RYLA this summer.
Below you’ll see more information and links to other web pages, including a packing list, directions and other details about the Young RYLA conferences. Your Young RYLA conference will will be held on either:
Sunday, June 23 – Friday, June 28, 2024 (Young RYLA Week -1)
or
Sunday, July 7 – Friday, July 12, 2024 (Young RYLA Week -2).
Please pay close attention to the dates for YOUR Young RYLA conference assignment!
Critical: A Young RYLA Junior Counselor will call you ONE WEEK OR SO BEFORE the start of your conference. If you have not heard from them by then, please send an e-mail to YoungRYLA2024HJCS@rockymountainryla.org
Please review these web pages with your parents/legal guardians. We need some additional information and their consent before you will be allowed to attend your conference. Details are below.
Conference Location – Arrival & Departure Information
Plan to arrive at the YMCA Of The Rockies near Estes Park, Colorado on Sunday between 1:30 and 3:00 pm (2pm is ideal). Traffic can be congested in Estes Park on Sundays, so please allow plenty of time. Use your GPS for the best routing if possible.
This map shows the location of the East Side Lodges (Twin Sisters, Deer Ridge, and Rainbow) lodges where you will find counselors wearing colorful RYLA shirts. They will guide you through the check-in process. You will meet with your own counselor and other conferees and your week will begin!
Departure time is Friday at 11:00am sharp.
The conference ends at 11:00 AM and parents can pickup students by parking at the Twin Sisters dorm and walking up to Willome Hall, which is just next to the Long House on the right side as you look up the hill. The students will be gathered out front with their teams.
Please review this page and the links below with your parents. AND, It is vital that your parents have completed, signed and submitted the online forms on the link that was emailed to you within a few days of receiving it.
As soon as possible your Rotary RYLA Representative must review and validate that your online forms are completed in order for you to be allowed to attend the Young RYLA conference! Please remember that you agreed to be at the conference for the entire time (Sunday by 3:00 pm through Friday at 11:00am). If you have questions, or your plans for participating change, please contact your Rotary RYLA Representative and the RYLA Registrars at Registrar@rockymountainRYLA.org immediately!
Cell phones: We encourage you not to bring cell phones. Young RYLA does not allow their use. Also, because the YMCA is secluded in the mountains, many cell phones do not even get service. Also please do not bring other electronic devices, you will not be able to use them.
